I wanted to welcome those of you coming from the WEGFanforums as well as any new faces.  I felt it is necessary to give everybody an opening monologue to some question you might have:

 

What happened to WEGFanForums?

The Game Guy decided that it was time to step down to pursue other projects. I would like to thank him for starting the forums and keeping it up and running. It isn't easy sometimes to run a forum. So we all appreciate the time and effort The Game Guy put into maintaining the forums.


Who am I?


Some might recall that I was one of WEGFanForums first moderators. I have started many hobby websites in the past and have a strong background in computers and programming. As I foresaw changes taken place at WEGFanforums toward its closure, I started my project to design a new site. I hope to continue with the success of the previous forum and continue to build a strong community of members.


What changes can we expect with the new site?


First, it will be business as usual.  I will continue to run a vbulletin forum for West End Games.   This is one of the main reasons for my site.  To keep the community in touch with each other and WEG and its news and staff. 
Second, I intend to broaden the purpose of the site to promote content development for new gaming material and organizing people for gaming online.
Third, there will be sections added that will provide tools/utilities for some of West End’s games.  Two is particular:  Torg and Septimus.


What features does this new site have?


This site has or will have a ton of new features.  I will list them below.  Not all these features are up and running just yet, but I continue to work on the site and hopefully many will be completed this year.

Closing Statement


As you can tell, the site is trying to do a lot.  I am a long way from completing the site, but I am dedicated to finishing it.  I will give constant updates to a point where they might seem annoying, but I believe keeping those supporting you informed as much as possible.   You might find some of my site a little out of the ordinary, but I have a plan and everything falls into it.  One area you might not be accustomed too is a ticket submission process.  I hope and will ask that any request that is directed toward me or the moderators be done using the ticket support.  Reason behind this unusual request is with all the features I have or will have, I do not want to forums to be inundated with how-to request.  There is going to be an in-depth FAQ section with images, videos and text answering your question.   But this section will only grow as the ticket system is used. 


Much of what I am attempting is untested grounds.  So if I change things to accommodate a more suitable flow for the site, please understand that whatever I do is trying to give you guys the best possible experience. I want your time here to be filled with entertainment and be informative.
