Can we submit maps?
Just wonderin' about logistics for this... thanks
Content Select Award
Welcome to the 1st running for the content select award. I would like you to submit your best backdrop for a game you have always wanted to design. This write-up should give a detailed picture of the world and the conflicts within. It should point out the heroes and the villains and why they are in struggle with one another. Explain the day to day life of a traveler and the mysteries and horrors that await them around each turn. Etc...
The main goal is when your background is read, inside one’s mind should be painted a clear picture of what it would be like to live in your world, how life endures and what are the goals of the individual (why do they exist).
Please have it between 500 - 2000 words. And you can only submit once. Moderators are exempt from entering (sorry).
Here are the particulars.
July 7 Submissions Begin
July 31 (Midnight) - No more Submissions
Aug 7, Will release a poll with top 3 submission (chosen by myself and staff)
Aug 31 Polls close, we count votes. (If it is a tie, I get final vote)
Prizes:
All final three will get door prizes to be determined later.
1st Place: $50
2nd Place: $30
3rd place: $20
I hope you enjoy this and we see lots of entries.

No preferrable format, just as long as everybody can read it. I suppose, PDF is the obvious universal approach. I should have in place by the submission date a means for everybody to upload their work. It will not exist in the forums. I will keep the site updated on this.
If it is a single world map showing locations being identified, absolutely.

I have my idea ready to go. can't wait to upload!
I would love to see a contest like this with the final prize being a limited-run publication of the setting.
As I am just starting to get the site up and running and still need to work out some Identity issues and direction I am taking the site, I thought it would be best to start out slow.
But I do like that idea and will keep it in mind for future contest like this.

Settings, yes.
