    Default Helping the Project Grow

    For a while now I have been tossing this idea back and forth and finally came to the conclusion that in order for the project to grow there has to be money available to do things like pay for advertising, signs at conventions, print T-Shirts, pay for custom website design, etc. If someone in the community wants to host a booth at a convention, or design a shirt for the community, etc. they could be given money from the PayPal fund, money from Google AdSense below is also added to the fund, to help advertise the project. Once approved you will need to provide receipts for your purchases in order to be reimbursed. Though we can maintain the inexpensive method we currently use in order to bring more people into the system we have to get the word out there and attract a new audience. The following are three methods that you can use to help the community to grow.

    Your Time

    First, and most importantly, you can contribute by adding articles to the wiki, and helping keep it up. Your Time is the most abundant resource you have available to you. All of the material you have collected throughout the years from books, over the internet, etc. has had someones time devoted to it. If you can give just 10 minutes a day we can get the movement going strong.

    PayPal Donate

    PayPal Donate is a great way to help the project monetarily. With your PayPal account you can donate as little as $1 to help the project. The money in this fund will be used to help with advertising, acquiring rights to images, etc.

    Code:
    <form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post">
    <input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_s-xclick">
    <input type="hidden" name="hosted_button_id" value="KRR8Q9QRPC4ZA">
    <input type="image" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_donateCC_LG.gif" border="0" name="submit" alt="PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online!">
    <img alt="" border="0" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/scr/pixel.gif" width="1" height="1">
    </form>
    Google AdSense

    The project was finally approved by Google AdSense to participate in it's advertisement program for additional funds. Anyone out there who has a website or blog for D6 that would like to help can simply add this to their site and the project will get money every time someone uses it to search the internet. It's just a standard Google search bar.

    Code:
    <form action="http://www.google.com/cse" id="cse-search-box">
      <div>
        <input type="hidden" name="cx" value="partner-pub-4953211432996515:3eixxp-qya6" />
        <input type="hidden" name="ie" value="ISO-8859-1" />
        <input type="text" name="q" size="31" />
        <input type="submit" name="sa" value="Search" />
      </div>
    </form>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.google.com/cse/brand?form=cse-search-box&amp;lang=en"></script>
    Thanks for your help with everything. And for anyone who adds these codes to their sites I appreciate your efforts to help. Be sure to label it as Project Resurrection. Also when a moderator gets the time could you please sticky this thread.

    Should it be "Project D6 Resurrection" or is the D6 left out?

    Hi there,

    Just as another idea...

    When we are able to get the SRD for d6, we could do up some of the products fairly quickly and donate a portion of all sales to the cause. I think some others might be willing to do the same.
